Harry the Hipster’s back…minus the double-breasted zoot suit and the canary yellow shoes with the pointy toes but still stoned out of his mind, still pounding a piano and singing “Who Put the Benzedrene in Mrs. Murphy’s Ovaltine” and “I Stay Brown All Year Round” and “Ferdinand the Frantic Freak” and “The Hipster’s Night Off” and even “Get Your Juices at the Deuces.”
Harry (for those of you who tuned in late) was once considered the CAUSE of juvenile delinquency, Public Dope Fiend Number One, the FIRST of the hot jazz musicians to unashamedly and unceasingly praise the virtues of pot, uppers and other high time goodies through song, patter and his own often busted life style.
