God’s Son. After the whole shoot, he said ‘Yo, thank you man, this shit is crazy. This is my first album cover.’ I was like, ‘But you have all of that other…’ He said, ‘No, THIS is my first album cover.’ That was quite a compliment. It was weird shooting, because I knew I had the shot and I just stopped shooting and we were all just kind of standing there looking dumbfounded at each other because it was so beautiful. He was there with his arms up. I said ‘I got it. I can keep shooting, but I got it. I guess we’re done.’ No one moved. It was one of those moments. — Jonathan Mannion in Grandslam Magazine (2003)
