Liberation News Service (1972)
Caption Reads: Copies of slips of paper found in the lining of candy sent to a captured American pilot in North Vietnam. This is one of the many espionage devices found in boxes sent to the POW’s. While members of the Committee of Liaison were in Hanoi securing the release of three POW’s, many of these devices were discovered. Members of the Committee of Liaison brought back photos of these notes, bars of soap with imbedded messages, and tooth paste tubes with surveillance devices inside.
