I used to own a bookstore and gallery, I just finished a book, and I post scans from my collection of 60s and 70s underground newspapers and counterculture magazines, 90s Hip Hop magazines, and political ephemera.

One of the few truly underground publications, Osawatomie was published by the Weather Underground clandestinely while they were on the run from the FBI. The photo used on the cover of this issue is the now-famous ‘The Soiling of Old Glory’ taken by Boston Herald-American photographer Stanley Forman at an anti-busing rally held in Boston on April 5, 1976.
This is another one of over 100 original copies from my collection of sixties underground newspapers that will be on display for a one-night only show this Friday at Spoke Art Gallery.
Opening reception - Friday, January 13, 2012
Complimentary refreshments - 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
One night only.
